Lee’s birthday celebration was Saturday night and I made him a Katamari Damacy Cake. It turned out alright. The cake was a Strawberry Whipped Cream Cake with Buttercream icing and I made the prince out of paper and floral tape. Here is a picture of him:

It took awhile to make, but he really enjoyed it.
Here is a photo of a cake I made recently. It was my first attempt at a layered iced cake. It turned out so good! For anyone who is interested, it is the Strawberry Whipped Cream Cake from Best of Baking by Betty Crocker. Page 245 of the book.
(ps, that is an excellent book to own all around! Really good pizza crust recipe in there as well!)
